STEP Ireland Webinar Wednesday 24 March 2021

DAC6 (Council Directive 2018/822), the new EU mandatory disclosure regime

STEP Ireland are delighted to have John Cuddigan, head of Ronan Daly Jermyn’s Tax Practice, provide an update on DAC6 (Council Directive 2018/822), the new EU mandatory disclosure regime that imposes mandatory reporting of certain cross-border arrangements that could potentially be used for tax planning.

Due to the expansive definition of ‘cross-border arrangements’, DAC6 applies to a very broad range of transactions and will impact extensively on intermediaries and taxpayers. It is essential that all accountants, tax advisers, solicitors, financial advisers, in-house counsel and taxpayers familiarise themselves with their reporting obligations and incorporate compliance procedures to cope with the impact of DAC6

This webinar will outline the rules and obligations on advisers and will also address specific points of application to be noted by practitioners advising in cross-border transactions (including in relation to cross border estates and trusts).

Date and time: Wednesday 24 March 1pm

Cost: Free to attend – no registration is required

CPD: 1 hour
