John O’Connor, Principal of John O’Connor Solicitors, will talk about the regulatory requirement of Section 68 and will discuss practical issues concerning costs in testamentary actions. Declan O’Neill, Legal Cost Accountant, will discuss costs awards and will answer questions from attendees regarding practical matters.

The financial tsunami of recent years has affected many individuals and families. People have difficulties with their banks and many individuals have lost very considerable savings through inappropriate and bad investment advice. Many pension funds have also been impacted in terms of their value. Many members will be asked by clients for advice on these issues.
Denis Cremins will address members on how expert witness services and expert services may be of assistance in reviewing these cases and in supporting the preparation of cases for the Pensions or Financial Ombudsman or for the Courts.
